Learning to Drive in a Manual Car

Manual tuition is provided in a vehicle which for your comfort & safety has a 5-star New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP) safety rating; driver & passenger airbags; dual controls; power steering; air conditioning; and ABS, and is regularly serviced by a local dealer.

Upon request, tuition can be provided in the customer’s own vehicle.

All lessons / courses are tailored to suit the needs of the individual and closely follow the latest DVSA syllabus.

The learning process will begin with how to use the vehicle controls (including the dreaded clutch), all the way through to vehicle manoeuvres; dual carriageway driving; motorway tuition; taking the L-test, and beyond. Learning to drive can be a challenge, but we make it a pleasant and satisfying experience.

Lessons are on a 1 to 1 basis and can be taken in 60, 90 or 120 minute sessions or more intensively, if required. The number of hours required depend on the students ability to master the skills and knowledge required, and on the Instructor’s assessment of these skills. Additional hours or more intensive lessons can be arranged, if required.

We provide manual driving lessons across Mablethorpe, Trusthorpe, Sutton-on-Sea, Alford, Louth, and Spilsby, with routes planned to suit real-world driving and nearby DVSA test centres in Skegness, Boston, and Grimsby.

Lessons also include instruction on the use of the GPS navigation system (now part of the driving test).
